Kalyani Nagar, the quiet bank opposite Koregaon Park

Kalyani Nagar looks across the Mula-Mutha at Koregaon Park from the northern side. The Kalyani Nagar bridge joins the two, so plenty of people eat on one side and sleep on the other. Inland, the area runs into Nagar Road, with Yerwada at one end and Viman Nagar and Phoenix Marketcity further out. Joggers Park, the green patch in the middle, is what locals name when they give directions.
The streets are wide and planned, lined with well-kept gated towers of 2 and 3 BHK flats and with service apartments let for a few months to people posted to Pune. In the evenings the rooftop bars and late food places fill up, then empty slowly into the quiet lanes. Many residents come from other cities, so a visitor arriving late is nothing unusual in these buildings.
Our Kalyani Nagar escorts are used to towers with a security desk and to guests who want a long talk first. Krishna lives here; Kyra comes from Yerwada, and Shilpa and Mohini cross the bridge from Koregaon Park. For a slightly older woman who is warm and chatty, Krishna is the name to say. Phone from the rooftop, not from the lift.
